Support Friends of the Palm Springs Library and attend an amazing event too!  Enjoy a buffet-style brunch created by the chef of Mr. Lyons Steakhouse and the owners of local eateries Cheeky’s and Birba, in the newly remodeled Conservatory with combined indoor and outdoor seating. Have one bellini, mimosa, or glass of champagne with your meal along with an assortment of non-alcoholic drink choices. A no-host bar will also be available. Following the meal we will adjourn to the Grand Salon to hear author Jacquelyn Mitchard speak and share her own story. Following the talk, Ms. Mitchard will autograph her latest novel “Two If By Sea” which will be included with your ticket. Additional copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event. 

 

Members-only early bird registration is $65 per person through November 30.  Non-member tickets are $75 per person.  General admission for members and non-members after November 30 is $75 per person.  Purchase your tickets through the link below or call 760-668-8838.  Proceeds benefit Palm Springs Public Library.


Menu includes: Prime Rib Hash with an over easy egg, spinach and hollandaise sauce, Avocado toast on housemade date bread, scrambled egg, radish and watercress, Housemade Greek Yogurt & Fruit with Paleo Granola, Mini Pain aux Chocolat and Croissants.

 

 

Jacquelyn Mitchard is the number one New York Times bestselling author of twelve novels for adults, including The Deep End of the Ocean, which was the inaugural selection of the Oprah Winfrey Book Club and also made into a major feature film.

The editor of a realistic Young Adult imprint, Merit Press, Mitchard also is the author of seven novels for Young Adults. Her work has won the Bram Stoker and Shirley Jackson awards, as well as the UK’s Walkabout Prize and was short-listed for the Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction. She is a professor of Creative Writing at Vermont College of Fine Arts and a contributing editor for More magazine. Mitchard grew up in Chicago, and now lives on Cape Cod with her family.
