SOLD OUT! ANNUAL MEETING at Gloria Swanson's/AMIN CASA

Join the Friends of the Palm Springs Library, Sunday, March 25 for their ANNUAL MEETING at AMIN CASA, a Boutique Hotel & the historical GLORIA SWANSON residence. In addition to a review of the previous year, Members will also be treated to a tour through this thoroughly charming, vintage estate/hotel.

Program includes:

• Tour of the Gloria Swanson house, which is now Amin Casa.
• Lecture on Gloria Swanson by film historian Gary Smith.
  
• Reception with wine and appetizers.
• Raffles!  Including Film Noir raffle basket and Lisa Scottoline tickets.

Palm Springs resident Gary Smith is the author of seven books dealing with various aspects of motion picture history. These cover such eclectic subjects as epic films,  British horror movies, vampire films, American International Pictures, and a detailed study of the movie Forever Amber. Mr. Smith has also appeared in several documentaries including The Gigantic World of Epics for Turner Classic Movies, It Was a Colossal Teenage Movie Machine: The American International Story, Claudette Colbert: Queen of the Silver Screen, and Cecil B. DeMille: Hollywood’s Epic Director. 

He is presently working on a book about best selling novels made into films.
