Explore all sides of the "Modern vs. Postmodern Architecture" debate with Professor of Architecture Martin Schwartz, with particular focus on Charles W. Moore, one of the strongest voices in the discussion.

    The FRIENDS ANNUAL MEETING

    IN BLACK AND WHITE

    Join The Friends for our ANNUAL MEETING on March 10, 2019 at the former home of writer TRUMAN CAPOTE -- a festive BLACK & WHITE-themed event (for which we hope you'll dress appropriately). Refreshments, light snacks, raffles, and not too much speechifying are promised. 

    A special guest will perform short monologues
    from Truman Capote's works.  

    Seating is limited to 90 participants, so sign up early! 

    Truman Capote was born Truman Streckfus Persons on September 30, 1924 in New Orleans, Louisiana and died August 25, 1984 in Los Angeles, California. His plays and short-stories are world-famous, with the best known being In Cold Blood andBreakfast at Tiffany’s.

    Join the Friends of the Palm Springs Library Book Club for a discussion of   ASTRO-PHYSICS for PEOPLE in a HURRY  by Neil De Grasse Tyson.  (2017)

    The Friends Book Club meets on the third Friday of the month at 2:00 p.m. in The Learning Center at Palm Springs Public Library, 300 S. Sunrise Way.  Members of the Club read the selected book then join in lively discussions.  The meeting is open to everyone.

The Friends' Book Club meets on the third Friday of the month (unless otherwise noted) at 2:00 p.m. at the library and is open to everyone. Members of the Club read the selection for the month, then join in lively discussions. 


HOW TO REGISTER FOR 
A MEMBERS-ONLY EVENT:

1.  Scroll to & click on the title of the Event you are interested in attending;

2.  On the next page, click the gray REGISTER button on the left side of the screen. Your email address will auto-fill into the block on the next page.

3.  Choose MEMBERS-ONLY REGISTRATION, then click NEXT. All of your information will be auto-filled by the computer on the next page - First and Last Names, Email Address and Phone Number. Click NEXT. 

4.  A light blue REVIEW & CONFIRM box appears. 

5 . If paying electronically, click PAY ONLINE and follow the prompts. You can use a personal PayPal account OR any major Credit or Debit card. 

6.  If paying by check, click INVOICE ME. Print the invoice sent to your email account and mail it promptly, along with your payment, to:
